Matty Groves is a story-developing game based on a 17th century folk ballad and the story that it tells. Matty Groves is (probably?) the world’s first “Annotate Your Own Adventure Game” that encourages players to recontextualize a prewritten text by adding imaginative details and annotating the original story.
It was developed as part of the Dice Exploder Pregens Game Jam.
